With No. 10 Service Flying Training School at Dauphin, Manitoba when it suffered a Category A crash at 15:20 on 24 August 1942, near Wawanesa, Manitoba (about 100 miles south of Dauphin).  The aircraft had landed in a small field to pick up the pilot of another Crane that had forced landed, and then struck trees and crashed while attempting to take off.  Instructor P/O J.O. Thorne and two students killed.  Scrapped by No. 12 SFTS at Brandon.
