Delivered to Canadian Joint Air Training Centre, Rivers Camp, Manitoba on 10 April 1948.  One of 3 delivered that day, first operational RCAF Chipmunks.  Served with No. 444 (AOP) Squadron at Rivers, 1948 and 1949.  Delivered in natural metal finish, with red and blue maple leaf roundels in all 6 positions.  Issued registration VC-BVY, marked "BV-Y"  on wings, and "Y" on fuselage.  Later used at RCAF Station Centralia, Ontario.  When sold became Art Scholl's Super Chipmunk N13Y, fitted with Lycoming GO-435 engine, retractable undercarriage, and numerous other modifications.  Registered to US government on 28 October 1987, and now in the Smithsonian collection.
